Since its 2 days, is the Ocala Speedway permitting us camping on their grounds, or do we have to find our own lodging?

Hawkfdc,
When can we start signing up? I have been one of the early signers 3 years running and I don't want to miss the goody bag. My wife came last year and totally enjoyed watching the Jeeps on the extreme course.

I was there also last year. Mud pit was great. They had a big trackho there to pull people out and dig some of it.
One of the holes was deeper than the jeeps were tall...was pretty neat.

I thought that Jen already answered this...... maybe it was on the FJOA.

Anyway, I believe that the answer was no camping on site. There are several campgrounds in the area that are less than 15 minutes away.

Just wanted to remind everyone that Jeeptoberfest is only about a month away. We have set up a cheesy forum for people to ask questions and maybe find an answer they were looking for. Pam tries to keep up with the answers, it's easier than trying to remember if she got to all the different forum site. You can find a link to it here http://www.ocalajeep...toberfest08.htm
We have had several work days and all is coming along very nicely. Remember this year Stock course  , Moderate course :2thumup: , Extreme course :haha: , Mud pit , RTI ramp, and See Saw. So everyone should be able to find something to play on.

Its all in how you plan it and can make it. I wont be able to make it this year. :1thumb: But this is always a great show and if you can make it, its one worth going to.

First time I'm going... Which hotel is nearby? I'm going with my wife and kids and prefer to stay at a hotel than camping.

Camping with the kids is really tough!!!!!!

Someone planning to offroad on Friday???

I'm thinking about going up Thursday to hit Hard Rock Friday then the show Saturday. First time to both places. Has anybody camped at Hard Rock before? Head home Saturday night or Sunday morning. Trying to firm up my schedule... :2thumup:

Well from the look of things I will be going up with a few friends. Leave Friday, do the Fest on Sat and be a bitch on the passenger seat for some on Sunday at Hard Rock. I'll try and take some pictures.

I really wish I could go, but with the upcoming Disney trip for 5, it's all a bit spendy. It would be cool to be on the trails with the great one though.

Dennis, I'm just tagging along for the ride with someone that I will have to put up with for a few days.

Not sure who is getting together or what. Speak to Cubacon, I think he might have a group coming up from the Keys as well as some of the local guys.
