Something I learned at CAMP JEEP.
If your vehicle has ABS...and you haven't
been off road in a long while....it's important
to keep the PISTON and PUMP lubricated.
To do this, you just need to get into some
soft dirt, or sand, and apply the brakes.
You can feel the ABS system pushing against
the brake pedal, and you will hear some
minor noise from the system.
The engineers at Jeep say that you should
do this about twice a year.
If the ABS does not cycle when you are
testing it, then take it to a repair station
and have it checked.
If you are in LOW RANGE, the ABS will not
function.
