I can make a Restaraunt Depot trip that morning for the Burgers, dogs, and drinks and then bring it to your house.. I have a cooler for all this.. I think they have ice there too, I will need a cooler or two for that though..

Matt,
Good point in bringing this up. Since most on that list are SFJC and their families I don't see no reason why the SFJC should not purchase what is needed. If I'm not mistaken Tomb can give the ok up to $200, anymore than this than we will need to get the 4 officers to vote on it which can be done by email. I actually though that this was discussed already and approved around 3 meetings ago.

In the event that there might be some objections (should be taken to the private SFJC Forum section) I don't mind bringing my own food and food for the 5 people that our Host will have there from his end.

If that's the case I'll check what do we have left from the 4th of July BBQ and bring it, I know we have a lot of soda.

No we're good on the purchase of the food, we did discuss it.. There should be no problem picking up the food that morning, I will imagine the shopping I have done for Towers, maybe a little more will cover everyone.. I got it covered.. And that is well short of our $200 allowance.. This is going to be a great thing.. Any special requests or needs, PM me and I will do my best to accommodate everyone..

I would like to mention this, since this is truly a once in a lifetime thing, considering the fact that there are vehicles there that may not be anywhere else in the world anymore, or at least not in private hands. The fact that this type of place is being opened up to us, is there anything you can think of that the club can do for him, something simple in appreciation.. I would like to think this out before so it doesn't get forgotten or left for too long. This can go from a very nicely drafted letter after, or a gift of some kind.. No clue what will work, but I think it goes a long way to a great relationship.

Jim,
Still have not heard from Carlos, My step-son.
He's somewhere in Fort Pierce--at a work conference.
I can't imagine him not wanting to go.
He loves history, espeicially WW2
So I'm asking he be put on the list to attend.
If there are any changes I'll let you know as soon as I know.
Thank You,
Steve

You sir are batting 300 :amazed: Please do not get of the medication :boat: This is an excellent idea. Now can you get a plaque of appreciation from the SFJC made in time for Sunday :offtopic:

I've updated the list once more in post #12. If you are not on it... you are not coming.

The official list on post #12 has been modified. Please do not quote that list and add your name to it because that is not the list I will go by.

I will add names up until 11 AM today, after that you are out of luck whoever you may be... that is unless I see some cash :biggrin1:

I will not be on the internet much today as I have a family to attend to.

Fellows, I don't like to give my address or directions to where I live over a public forum.

For SFJC members:
Go to the online roster, login, find me, look at the info, click on map and it will take you there.

For non SFJC:
I suggest you meet at the corner of Griffin and 108 ave at 1:45 pm, call me and I'll come and get you.
If you don't know my cell, click on the email link under my signature and I will email you back, make sure your message has your cell and email.

I'll be off this computer in a few.

I had an awesome time, and it was amazing to see such a collection in person, and with such a gracious host, what a privilege.. Fred and his friends are unbelievable with what they do to preserve those vehicles, we are all very fortunate.. Thank you again Jim for getting us in there, it was worth the wait..

It was my pleasure setting this up but most important was to see some of you actually take it all in with regards to the history, and some of the detail that goes into the restoring an bringing some of these vehicles up to life.

Btw, here is the only time the tank was actually on the street, check out the lead re-con vehicle.

Here is Fred taking delivery of the tank.

I have a small video of him driving it around his property, for some reason I can't find it. :banghead1:
Btw, on the first picture, Fred is driving the tank, can you tell or even see him :banghead1: :behind:
