I will try and set this up with Fred to go visit his property. It will probably have to be on a Sunday between 2 and 4 pm.

I'm with Smokey, I can attend if I know the date selected. Not all my Sundays are free in the afternoon. I may even talk my wife into it.

You know I'm in, this is a huge look at military history, not just the US.. no one would even believe that a collection of this size and diversity would exist in one persons arsenal.. I was lucky enough to see some pictures and can't even start to explain..

Sunday July 13, 2008
From 2pm to 4pm (ending time is flexible)

Location: Davie, Florida. Griffin Road & 108 Avenue.

Ok looks like we have a date set! :bounce:

I want to thank Fred P. for hosting and showing us his excellent collection. :good: :good2:

Below are the details:

1. We will use Fred's grill on the property. The SFJC will bring all the food, drinks, and ice.
People doing the cooking will set up around 1:15 pm
Fred has forks, plates, condiments, etc, but might need napkins. (Btw, add 5 people on Fred's side for the food)
Everyone attending will help keep the place clean, especially at the end of the day.

2. There will be a limit of 30 people. Confirm here and I will create and edit list.
Do not commit to this if you are not going to show up and take up a spot that someone else could have had.
We will meet at my place at 1:30 pm and leave at 1:50 pm to Fred's place which is near by. If you are late sorry.
For the people setting up be at my place at 1: pm.

If you bring young children they better be under your adequate supervision (at your side) :baby: :bat:

3. Entrance will be off 106th ave. This is a note to myself as it does not apply since we will be leaving from my place. If you need directions to my place email me directly. Do not PM through JeepTalk. If you don't know my email use the form on my signature.

Let me remind everyone of a few things: :score10:

This is private property and a private collection of Military WWII vehicles, trucks, Jeeps, tank, artillery, etc. :usjeep:

There will be no touching or getting inside these vehicles unless you ask and permission is given. Respect and proper behavior must be present at all times. Remember, you are in someone's house and people must conduct themselves in a proper manner. These collectors are extremely nice people, they are very proud and sensitive to their collections.

I will need to know how many people are interested in attending. No last minute surprises, if you show up without confirming ahead of time you will not be allowed inside (we need to have an accurate head count), if you say you are coming, we will expect you not to cancel unless you have an accident, are in the hospital or dead. I will not jeopardize a good friendship over minor details. :ya:

All that said, we will all have a good time, Fred is an excellent host. Heck I still enjoy seeing all the old and new things that pop up at his place from time to time whenever I go over by his place to visit. Thank you Fred! :ya:

I've just confirmed the following with our Host.

He will have the bbq 1/3 tank fill, seating and tables.

The people who volunteered for the food, etc will need to bring:

food
drinks
ice
plates
napkins
utensils

If you have an extra propane tank bring it, I don't want to clean our host out of what is left on his bbq tank even though he did not mention this.

People setting up be at my place exactly at 1:15 pm
People attending be at my place exactly at 1:45 pm

Jim you may want to be a little more specific, thanks to Tall Jeep and his lovely wife, there will be gas, that is usually provided by TallJeep :bat: and plates n such. When you say we need to bring the food, are we as a club going to pay for the food but we need to get it there, or are we independantly going to bring dishes and what not..

I can make a Restaraunt Depot trip that morning for the Burgers, dogs, and drinks and then bring it to your house.. I have a cooler for all this.. I think they have ice there too, I will need a cooler or two for that though..
