Snorkel Mod - Paint Work

i took the snorkel to the fab shop and after doing a few measurements ....we came up with a design to accomidate the ever present problem of losing a light bar when a snorkel is added with minimal inpact to the snorkels original design .
well i wasnt doing that .
first step . we measured out the feed tube that fits into the fender and ext.it out 4 inches .
then we added a body flange that when bolted on will sit snuggly up against the fender body side with an added on clamp for point reinforsement ........note: the added body ext flange not only adds to the body/style looks of the snorkel ...it also protects the feed tube well being 1/4 " thick alum.
next step . we measured out the spacer distance 2.5" we needed when the piece is bolted on to the shared windsheild bracket and fabricated a spacer block out of 1/4 " alum and drilled that to fit .
added bonus ....we drilled a drain hole at the lowest point of the snorkel and installed a brass drainplug .
next step : with all mods/ done we sanded down all welds and entire piece to a smooth raw alum finish then it was finished up by being watertight tested .
nextstep ..primer/paint . first i applied 2 coats of Y94 anti-corrosive (green in color ) to entire piece . next i then applied 3 coats of white epoxy finish primer . total dry time 4 hrs .then the piece was sanded with 320-400 to a smooth finish .
next the snorkel was washed with soap and water ...washed down with prep-sol .tacked ..then i applied 3 coats of Red chroma1
topcoat to match my jeeps color perfectly .
i just uploaded 55 + pics to my space page which shows all work done in detail check them out ...
click on the link below my signature and then click on pics on my page then click on snorkel fab/paint .

Got a question, does not the River snorkel mount a bit higher on the side horizontal to the top of the fender Or is this a different for a different model.
I was not aware that you can link myspace pics into the post, keep them coming

I do remember seeing this on his vehicle that was on display but now that I think about it... it was a JK which probably has the room to go higher.
From the pics the spacer came out really good. Would like to see a picture of the attachment up on top near the light bar if you get a chance.
