After installing a different front axle in my POS YJ, I was concerned if it would still fit on my trailer which is 84" between the wheel wells and side rails. :nervous:

Well, it *barely* squeezes onto it with very little room to spare. The tires slightly rub the sides where they balloon out at the bottom, but I can live with that.

I suppose if anything, the side rails will help it from side-to-side motion. :mouthzip1:

Any particular reason you have the side rails...

Hi Jim, sorry for the delay. I haven't poked my head in here lately.

Thanks - the deck of the trailer is 16'. The rails were on it when I got it ~11 years ago. Its basically a converted tandem axle utility trailer that I use mainly for my Jeep. I got it cheap - but naturally it is a cheap trailer. :D

BTW: This is another tow rig I picked up yesterday.

Its an '06 Ram MegaCab 4x2, 5.9L CTD. It does double duty as a work truck.

2006 was the last good year of the Ram imop. The 5.9 is just too good. How are the miles on it?
Where are you picking up these deals, what's the count now... 22 trucks. :lol:

Yep, my last two Dodges have been MegaCabs, the one before that was a QuadCab.

My '07 3500 was built early in the year and has a 5.9L as well. Later in the '07 year (I'm not sure when) they came with the 6.7L. In other words, the '07's came with 5.9's and 6.7's.

The '06 2500 has ~57,000 miles while my '07 3500 has ~16,000 miles.

I found the 2500 on craigslist San Diego under the dealer section while doing a search. I wasn't really looking at buying from a dealer, but the owner of the truck has a dealers license so technically he has to sell it accordingly since he ran a dealer plate on it.
